INTER-ISLAND EIGHTS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The council of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association last night formally approved the Wellington Association's proposal to hold an inter-island eight-oared race after the inter-provincial contest on Saturday. The distance for the interisland race was fixed at 1J miles, and it was decided that the managers of the crews from each island should appoint a sole selector for each crew.
