HORSES FOR SYDNEY.
Tironui, Giglot and Alpina' are to be chipped to Sydney by the Wanganella on Friday. Mr. A. F. Symes, owner of La Moderne, is completing arrangements to send his iilly to Sydney to compete in the A J.C. St. Leger. She will probably go over with A. D. Webster's horses. An otter has been made by Mr. Symes to R. Reed to go across and do the riding.
A GREAT GALLOPER
By his impressive performance in the Manawatu Stakes, in which he looked very unlucky, the two-year-old Red Manfred displayed his true galloping' ability, and also the fact that he is one of the best of his. age (says our Woodville correspondent). The Manfred colt i.3 one of the beet gallopers seen at Woodville, and Lis three-year-old career should hold great possibilities.
