SHOWER OF LEAFLETS.
WOMAN IN HOUSE OF COMMONS LONDON, March 22. Walking the full length of the floor of the House of Commons a young woman showered members with green leaflets with a "red" tinge. Simultaneously a man in the strangers' "allery poured down a cascade of leaflets, and as attendants seized him a woman at the back of the strangers' gallery jumped up shouting: "There is no money for the unemployed, but there plenty of money for war preparations." An attendant quickly clapped a hand over her mouth and ejected her. Members continued the debate without paying any attention to the interrupters or the showers of leaflets, which lay in hundreds upon the floor and seats of the House. Many fell on members' heads. The leaflets read, " £2G,000 more for the Air Force! Economy on education! £1 402,000 more for the Army! Economy on housing! £3,000,000 more for the Navy! Economy on unemployed! End this nonsense!" The intruders were detained until the rising of the House.
