KUMEU SHOW SOCIETY.

Within a fortnight of the holding of the Kumeu show a detailed statement of accounts and the society's financial position was placed before "a full meeting of the executive and the ladipß , committee. The president, Mr. J. Winchester, said it was the unanimous opinion that the show was an outstanding success. The secretary, Mr. W. B. Patterson, stated that over 50 new members had joined the society just prior to the show. It was gratifying to note the number of members who had written in to forfeit their debentures. A special vote of thanks was accorded to the officers for their splendid effort and results achieved under a very limited time for preparation. The statement of accounts given by the treasurer, Mr. I. Outram, showed that the society has now a credit balance. A finance committee was elected as follows: —Messrs. J. A. Winchester (president), W. B. Patei'Bon (secretary), I. Outram (treasurer), S. R. Gould, E. Jenkins, W. Malins and R. Glasgow.
