DIXIELAND.
There was a crowded attendance at the official Carinthia tourist night held at Dixieland Cabaret on Saturday evening. A large number of distinguished guests from the s.s. Carinthia attended, including Mr. Tully, Mr. W. H. Harkness, Mr. Cross Rudkin, Mr. A. Marlin, also officials from the Cunard Line, Auckland. The cabaret looked charming, being decorated with the Cunard Line flags, and bowls of beautiful dahlias, and splendid niusic was provided by the famous Carinthia band. Among those present were.— Mrs. Wylie (Suva), white spotted flat crepe; Mrs. D. Middleton, ivory satin beaute; Mrs. L. Stewart, midnight blue georgette; Mrs. Carl Engel, black lace and georgette; Mrs. A. Murray, midnight blue satin beaute; Mrs. G. Tait, rose pink frilled organdie; Miss Lottie Fisher (Liverpool), blue floral French net; Miss Violet Lay (Liverpool), ivory silk lace; Miss Esine Ifwerson, wine panne velvet; Miss Clyde Ifwerson, floral chiffon; Miss L. de Renzy, floral taffeta; Miss Winnie O'Neil, blue flsche net; Miss I. O'Neil, turquoise blue satin; Miss Molly Ballantyne, shaded green georgette; Miss Phyl Peet, ivory satin beaute; Miss Betty Endean, blue checked gingham and organdie; Miss R. Murray, black and white georgette; Miss E. Murray, black satin; Miss R. Reston, salmon pink georgette; Miss Billie Ballantyne, black moire; Miss Jill Proter, blue georgette; Miss M. Atkinson, parma violet georgette and lace; Miss Dorothy Russell, white organdie; Miss Robinson, green floral georgette; Miss Margaret Gibson, coral pink lace and georgette; Miss Isabel McGinley, black embroidered net; Miss Meagher, pastel pink georgette and lace; Miss Hilda Wakem, pink brocaded taffeta; Miss Edna Clarke, pink satin and georgette; Miss L. Sydney, black chiffon velvet; Miss Myra Curtis, blue floral organdie; Miss J. Craig, gold lame and satin.
