FALL INTO RIVER.
WAIKINO MOTOR COLLISION.
THREE OCCUPANTS ESCAPE. - (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. A collision between two cars driven respectively by Messrs. C. M. Hughes and A. Furze, both of Waihi, occurred last evening at Waikino near the railway crossing. Mr. Hughes' car, which contained himself and two friends, went over the bank, falling 20ft into the river, which is not deep at this point. The occupants escaped without serious injury and little the worse for their involuntary bath. Neither car was badly damaged.
