De Valera Pleads for Support

DEFENCE FORCE URGED. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, February 5. Mr. de Valera, after witnessing a march past of Fianna Fail Clubs at Ennis, urged the advantages of discipline through the creation of territorials available for national defence. He appealed for the co-operation of all classes to remove the oath and achieve a free Ireland economically. Self-sufficing, full power would be taken to deal with taxation defaulters. Ireland wishes Britain well, but will brook no in determining her
own attitude.
