AUCKLAND ROTARY CLUB.
TO-DAY'S i/unciieon meeting
President T. U. Wells occupied the chair at to-day's lunch meeting of the Auckland Rotary Club, held in Milne and Choyce's reception hall. There was a large attendance, and amongst the visitors were: Messrs. C. F. Smith (Perth), R, Robinson and C. M. Bartram -(Vancouver), J. W. Holdgate (Timaru), A. Russell (Wellington), H. Lightband (Christchurch), and C. A. Speers (Windsor, Canada). The president made feeling reference to the death of the late Mr. J. C. Grieraon, and at his request members stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect and sympathy. Final arrangements were made to meet and take for a motor drive the party of English schoolboys The speaker of the day was Colonel S. J. E. Closey, wiho addressed members on the Douglas Credit system. The vote of thanks was moved by Rotarian J. T. F. Mitchell.
