EX-RECTOR GAOLED.
OFFENCES AGAINST MALES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, Saturday. In the Supreme Court, Frederick Samuel Shell, formerly rector of St. Saviour's Orphanage, Timaru, was found guilty on two charges of indecent assault on males, three charges of unnatural offences, and three charges of attempted unnatural offences. He was sentenced on the first two counts to three years' hard labour, on the second series of charges to six years' hard labour, and on the third series of charges to four years' hard labour, the sentences to be concurrent.
