McTavish left Auckland by yesterday evening's express train for Wellington, en route to Dunedin, to fulfil riding engagements at that meeting, which opens on Thursday. Wiggins has been engaged to ride Princess Argosy in the Dunedin Cup and AlcTavish will pilot Red Heckle in the same race. Other horses that Wiggins has contracted to ride at the (meeting are Wealth, Fair Weather, Niggerhead and Silver Light.
