Members of the Australian Board of Control from all States except West Australia assembled in camera at a. special meeting to consider Marylebones reply to the board's cablegram protesting against body-line bowling. The meeting lasted all day, and at the end the chairman, Dr. Alan Roberteon, announced that there would be no statement made to the Press. It is understood that a cablegram has been sent to Marylebone, but its contents cannot even be surmised. The Victorian and Queensland delegates left for home to-night.
