The Dublin correspondent of "The Times" says that for the first time in the election campaign Mr. de Valera has declared his policy on the issue of separation from the British Empire. Speaking at Cahir the President of the Free State announced that he was determined to ask for Ireland's complete independence—politically and economically.

Mr. Frank Aiken, Minister of Defence, was even more explicit.
