NEW ZEALAND WOMEN.
CHRISTMAS PARTY IN SYDNEY. (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The New Zealand Women's Association held a successful Christmas party aboard the Aorangi, which was lent for the occasion by the Union Company. Several hundred people were present. The decorations included pohutukawa blooms and New Zealand scenery. Maori customs and music were kept prominently before the guests' notice. Mrs. J. W. Prentice presided. The official party included Mr. Alfred Hill, the composer, and Mrs. Hill, Mr. L. J. Sclimitt, the New Zealand Trade Commissioner in Australia, »nd Mrs. Schmitt, Major Ross, , representing the Union and Mrs. Horace Buck, who is returning to New Zealand after a world tour.
