LAST ATTEMPT FAILS.
Lost Submarine M 2 May Be Abandoned. STERN RISES FIRST. (Received li 2 noon.) LONDON, December 7. What is believed to be the final attempt to raise the British submarine M 2, which sank in January of this year with the loss of, 66 lives off Portsmouth, has failed, owing to the stern rising before the bows and preventing the air pressure from ejecting the water through holes in the bottom of the after compartments.
