PUBLIC SCHOOLS' CLUB.
FIRST ANNUAL MEETING. INCREASING MEMBERSHIP. A successful year was reviewed by the president, Mr. H. S. W. King, at the first annual meeting of the English Public Schools' Club held last evening. He said that the club had made splendid progress, and there was an increasing membership. Modem club rooms had been opened. The balance-sheet showed a satisfactory surplus. A letter was received from the Rev. H. K. Archdall, of King's College, offering to help in any way possible in developing the club spirit. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. H. S. W. King (Duhvich); vice-president, Mr. A. M. Spencer (Brighton); hon. treasurer, Mr. AV. Hately (Murchiston Castle); executive committee, Messrs. R. D. Gallon (Uppingham), W. G. Grove (Herne Bay), A. H. Ramsay (Cheltenham), R. T. Sawers (Sutton Valence), W. S. J. Dale (H.M.s. Worcester), H. Owers (Merchant Taylors), M. L. Bateson (Prince Henry's), G. F. A. Lewin (King's, London), A. G. BrownDouglas (Tonbridge), N. R. Bish (Brentwood), E. C. Walton (Tonbridge), G. M. I. Adams (Cheltenham); lion, secretary, Mr. H. G. St. V. Beechey (Duiwich).
