SUPERANNUATION.
EVIDENCE TO COMMITTEE. ' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Evidence on behalf of, the Superannuated Public Service Association was given before a Select Committee of the House this morning. Mr. Wright, the president, said that subscribers had been compelled to contribute under their contracts, and accordingly claimed as a right.the benefits already granted. He suggested that the Government should discharge its present indebtedness to the funds by the issue of inscribed ttock. Statements were also made on' behalf of superannuated teachers by Mr. John Caughley, and the superannuated railway servants by Mr. Ryan.
