SPEEDWAY FATALITY.
RIDER SUCCUMBS AT SYDNEY.
SYDNEY, December 4.
A Parramatta cyclist, Mr. Bert Brennan, crashed in the Showground Handicap at the speedway last evening and died shortly after he had been admitted to hospital. In the final heat a second competitor, Paul, came down near the same spot and was ridden over by another and injured a leg. Bobby Blake (Woollahra) maintained his unbeaten record and defeated Spencer Stratton (New Zealand) in the Royal Match Race.
