POLAR PLEASURES.
Famous Explorer Urges Trips For Tourists. WIVES FOR ANTARCTICA. NEW YORK, November 30. Sir Hubert Wilkins, speaking at a luncheon of tourist agents, said he had long intended to call attention to the pleasure of Antarctic travel for tourists who had an unjustifiable fear of the Antarctic. There were no worse storms in the "roaring forties" than occurred sometimes in the Black Sea. The famous explorer suggested a world tour from north to south, via the Orient, the Indies and Australia, thence to the Antarctic from the south of NewZealand to the Koss Sea, and from there to Cape Horn, the Falklands and South America. Lady Wilkins is to accompany her husband on nest season's Antarctic trip. Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth, who is to be married, will also be accompanied by his wife. Lady Wilkins will write a book on her experiences in Antarctica. Special equipment and apparel will be taken by her to ensure her safety and comfort.
