SHIPPING MANIFESTO.
Uneconomic Trade Conditions Of the Present Day. ALL NATIONS AGREED. (Received 10.30 a.m.) PARTS, November 30. Shipowners of all nations have issued a striking manifesto, which is supported unanimously in spite of the divergencies of national interests. It declares that uneconomic shipping subsidies are destroying the basis of ocean transport. Free access to an open freight market is essential. Creditor countries must accede to payment in goods services and trade barriers, currency restrictions and international interference with trade must be reduced and ultimately abolished. Most-favourcd-nation terms should be restricted.
