Advice hae been received to the effect that Rear-Admiral Byrd ie devoting the whole of hie time to the work of the National Economy league, a body which is making an endeavour to end the depression in the United States, and that his next expedition has therefore been postponed indefinitely. It is stated that he has purchased an oIS United States revenue cutter to serve as one of hie ships, and there are indications that an expedition may be undertaken at the end of next year.
