STRIKE BALLOT.
Cotton Workers' Vote Ends Trade Dispute. SHORT OP NEEDED MAJORITY. LONDON, November 6. The cotton strike has ended, the ballot on the proposed wage reduction terms having tailed to yield the necessary twothirds majority. The spinners voted 20,252 in favour of the strike and 13,553 against it. The card room workers voted 28,148 for and •14,850 against the strike.
The mills will be reopened on Monday at the lower rate of wages.
