LIMEEN'S MEMORIAL SURPRISE. GOLDEN WINGS CONSISTENT. ROYAL VISITOR VICTORIOUS IN HURDLES. The Auckland Racing Club's spring meeting is terminating in fine weather, and there is quite a good attendance at Ellerslie for an off day. The track is again in excellent order. " ■ Carfex confirmed his good form of Saturday by winning the Normanby Handicap from Jonathan and Catch'em. Royal Visitor was the Hurdles victor, Patutahi again filling the roll of runner-up. Golden Wings (Saturday's open sprint winner) and Soloist paid the dividends in the Epsom Handicap.

ANOTHER FOR CARFEX. TOO GOOD FOR JONATHAN. FAVOURITISM IS JUSTIFIED. There wae only one withdrawal for the Normanby Handicap, Book Law, and Carfex (£421) was at the top of the betting liet from Good Run ( £300) and Jonathan (£326). Holly Lu was smartest away from Delrain, Bugle Call, Good Run, Princess Bede, Carfex, Jonathan, Catch'em and Jewelled Girdle. As they ran for the top Delrain joined issue with Holly Lu and the pair piloted Bugle Call, Good Run, Carfex and Jonathan. At the straight entrance Holly Lu and Delrain were still in front, the next being Carfex, Good Run, Bugle Call, Jonathan and Catch'em. In the final stages Voitre brought the favourite (who won the Gordon Handicap on Saturday) along to win nicely by a length from Jonathan, who , beat Catch'em by two lengths. Holly Lu was fourth, and then came Delrain, Bugle Call, Good Run, Aeeculus, Princess Bede and Mahkill. Public Again Right. Slump did not parade for the Manukau Hurdles, and most money carne for Royal Visitor ( £512), Claremore ( £327) and Patutahi (£282). The order over the first fence was Claremore, Patutahi, Advance Camp, Luminary, Royal Visitor "andLucess. At the jump in front of the stand Patutahi ran up to Claremore and they showed the way to Royal Visitor

and Lucees, together, Lujninary and Advance Camp. The order along the back was much the same, Advance Camp being tailed off. Claremore had a slight advantage from Patutahi, with Royal Yieitor handy as they crossed the top. the last obstacle Royal Visitor took charge and went on to win by a length and a half from Patutahi, who beat Claremore by four lengths. Lucees was fourth and there was a break of about eight lengths to Luminary. Advance Camp was well back. A Hot One Beaten. All acceptors lined tip for the open sprint, the Epsom Handicap, and of the ten runners the public sorted, out Tea Trader (£961) as having the best chance. Golden Wings carried £589 and Greek Gold £391. There was £153 for Soloist. Valuation was slow to move. and. when they settled down Golden Wings, who drew the inner, had charge from Greek Gold and Tea Trader,, both handy, GayLap, Tetrarehate, Tradesman, Soloist, Sister Em, Gold Day and Valuation. Bound the home turn Golden Wings held sway from Greek Gold and Tea Trader, together, Gay Lap, Tetrarehate, Tradesman, Gold Day and, Soloist. Over the concluding stages golden Wings went on well to beat the fast-finishing Soloist by a length and a half, with Greek Gold lalf a length further away.
