LONDON, November 4,
There is a strongly substantiated report that the Island Bridge military barracks on the outskirts of the city, were daringly raided, it is believed by the 1.R.A., and several thousand rounds of rifle ammunition seized. It is reported that the army is marshalled at Curragh.
There was considerable military activity all niglit, and the troops are standing by owing to the grave, localifjd nnrest arifiing out of the bitter hostility of tie Republican Army to the Cosgraveites' White Army. ■
Despite Mr. de Valera's denials, the gun-running story persists, and it is said that there have been large landings on wild 6pots along the Cork coast, some places being allegedly veritable arsenals.
