FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. BANK OF NEW ZEALAND FIRMER. WAIHI SHAKES STEADY. Bidding at the Auckland Stock Exchange call this morning was quiet, with few marked changes in quotations. In the banking section Commercials were easier, and sold 2d cheaper, at 14/7. New Zealands responded to the dividend announcement, and changed hands at 1/ higher, at £2 7/, with buyers still in at that figure. Wailii shares were steady, with buyers at 17/11, and holders asking 18/1. In Government stocks 4%'s were firm, and £97 5/ was offered for the 1938 issue. Five and a half's were barely steady.
