WORK FOR THE BLIND.
A large and energetic committee has been set up to ensure the success of the forthcoming great fair, in aid of the Blind Institute, and the following are tho stall holders: Basketware stalls, members of Institute ladies' committee, Rotary Club, Mrs. D. M. McPhee, Miss E. Jackson, Mrs. A. Bayly, Mrs. C. Hughes, Mrs. A. Jackson, and Miss A. Bayly; coconut shies, Rev. C. E. Tanner, Legion of Frontiersmen, and helpers; cake stall, Victoria League Ever-ready Committee; ilower stall, Miss D. Morton, convener, and Mesdames V. Crutchley, j. M. Carpenter, J. M. Stevenson, A. J. Nutter, C. Andreae, J. W. Tattersfield, A. C. McArthur, Misses D. Butler, M. Middleton, Jean Robertson, and others; fortune telling, Mesdames L. M. Pickering, S. E. Wright, Barrington, and H. C. Parker; haunted castle, Messrs. H. J. Carr, E. Woodward, F. Skerrett, and members of the Takapuna Yacht Club, Bayswater; juggling, Mr. Norman Tate, the Fun Doctor, and Mr. Rusden; produce, Mrs. C. Mackenzie, convener, Mesdames J. E. Broadfoot, Austin Carr, Fred Waller, Paul Cropper, Walter Massey, W. J. Nicholson, W. T. S. Wilson, and M. Mackenzie, and Lieutenant Kingston; sweet stall, Victoria League girls under Mrs. Rickerby and Miss Ballantyne; strawberry and cream stall, Mrs. F. E. Gaudin and Bayswater - Belmont Women's Society; shooting gallery, Colonel H. S. Shaw, Tauranga, and Captain, H. C. Parker, R.N.; tearoom, Mrs. C. J. Nantes, Miss C. Swanston, Overseas Club, Women's Luncheon Club, Misses Gannaway, Miss Bell, Mrs. Treston, Misses Treston, Mesdames Scannel, Hayne, Harper, Misses Ford, D. Algie, Milford, Forbes, and Steven; toy stall, Dr. Margaret Knight, Lady Bankart, Mesdames Tolhurst, Bruco Mackenzie, H. Kirker, M. A. Spedding, W. J. Borrie, and others; waxworks, producer, Mrs Cuncliffe Parker, with historical and romantic characters interpreted by a distinguished and talented company; wrestling, Messrs. J. Simpson, E. Pollard, Naylor, H. Hutter, W. Hyman, R. T. Miller, and Constable Taylor. The following offers of assistance were also gratefully accepted: Band music, Auckland Grammar School, Regimental and Auckland Boys' Military, and Blind Institute Band, Auckland Artillery Band; pipe organ, Rev. E. Cliitty and pupils; Blind Institute Girls' Orchestra; exhibitions of dancing. Convent of the Good Shepherd and Miss M. Johnston's pupils; assistance with sideshows, gatekeeping, and sales, Legion of Frontiersmen, naval men, and Rotary Club.
