SOME LABOUR GAINS.
MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. LONDON, November 2. The results of the municipal elections so far available show little change. There is a slight net advantage to Labour. This is due to the unemployment agitation. The gains and losses are:— Gains. Lossee. Conservatives ... 28 38 Liberals 14 15 Labour 63 51 Others 16 17 No Communists have been elected. Ten etood in Bolton, but they were all overwhelmingly defeated. Labour's biggest success was at Oldham, where it captured six seats from the Conservatives, but it lost heavily at Plymouth, where tlie Conservatives captured six Labour seats and the Liberals two. There is. a change at Sheffield. Hitherto ruled by Labour that party now is in a minority of two. At Manchester the Conservatives have a majority of nine over all other parties.
