RENO'S CRISIS.
Gambling Dens and Bootleggers Finance City. BANKS IN QUEER STREET. NEW YORK, November 2. A message from Reno, Navada, saye that city—sometimes called the divorce and gambling capital of the United .States—turned to the gambling housee and illicit liquor dispensaries for banking facilities yesterday, when the State officials declared a bank holiday for a fortnight in order to allow many institutions in a weak position to reorganise. Some of these banks are soliciting funds from tlie Reconstruction. Finance Corporation. The gambling housee generally are well supplied with silver dollars, and it is believed that they will be able to carry on at least part of the necessary ■business of the town. Many divorce suite must be postponed pending the litigants' ability to secure money.
