TAXI-DRIVER SENTENCED.
INTOXICATED ANl> CAUSED DEATH. PRISON WITH HARD LABOUR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The trial was concluded in the Supreme Court to-day of Paul Olson Sabo,' aged 41, taxi driver, who was charged that while in a state of intoxication he was in charge of a motor car, and by act (jr omission in relation thereto did cause the death of William Edwards. The jury returned a verdict of guilty on both counts. The foreman said the jury wished to commend highly the action taken by the witness Marchbanks in connection with the accident. Sabo was sentenced to 18 months' hard labour, and was declared to be disqualified from obtaining a driving license for five years after the expiration of the current license.
