A successful pairs' tournament was held yesterday at St. Heller's green, In which sixteen teams tooK part. Flynn and London (Devonport) won the A section, while Williams and Keys (Auckland) prevailed Jn the B section, the latter eventually winning the play-off with a few points to spare. The players used three bowls only, and the general opinion was that it was an improvement'on the four-bowl system.. REMTJERA RINKS TOURNEY. A full-rink open tournament was held by the Remnera Bowling Club yesterday. The ■competition was divided into two sections, five games of 12 heads being played. Two teams, Paterson (Remuera) and I>ancaster (Carlton) tied in section A with four wine and one loss. Lancaster won the play-off. In section B, G. H. Kissllng IBemuera) and de Launay (Carlton). tied with four wins and one loss. De Launay won the play-off. ¥ The final, between de Launay ana Lancaster, will be played to-day, commencing at 2,30 o'clock.
