TAURANGA NOTES.
Mr. and Mrs. Evrd, who are on a motoring tour through New Zealand, are at present spending a holiday at Tauranga. The following are also spending a holiday at Tauranga: Mr. and Mrs. E. Nicholls, of Levin; Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore, of Dunedin; Mr. and Mrs. Stringer, of Auckland; Miss Peggy McDougall, of Te Puke; Mr. and Mrs. Hall, of Wellington; Mrs. Wilson, of To Arolia; Miss E. Eoylance, of Auckland; Miss Clarke, of Auckland. Mrs. Frank West, of Hamilton, is the.guest of Mrs. \V. Hammond. . ' Miss McDonald, of Te Arolia, is spending a holiday at Tauranga. Mrs. Steedinan, of Tauranga, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dinsdale, of Tβ Kuiti, has returned home. Mrs. Keith Page, of Tauranga, who.has been on a holiday at Auckland, has returned to Tauranga. A bridge party was given by Mrs. Alan Buxton on Monday evening. The- hostess received her guests in a frock of cherry georgette, trimmed with same toned lace. Amongst those present were: Mesdames Alan Spooner and K6ith- Page, Misses Joan Mirriellcs, Dorothy Armitage, Alison Bmdmore, Molly Guiness. Mrs. E. Carr, of Tauranga, entertained a number of friends at bridge on Monday afternoon. Those present were: Mesdames H. Bradmore, D. H. iL. Corrigan, S. Simmonds, McKenzie, Wilson, C. H. M. Hawk, F. McCara. A bridge party was given by Miss Dorothy Armitage on Tuesday evening. The hostess wore a frock of l rose floral crepe> de chine, and the gueste were: Misses Alison Bradmore, Elinor Broad, Olive Armitage, Lindsay Tudehope, Charmian Eenshaw; A social was given in the Parish Hall, Tauranga,, on Friday last, as a token of esteem , to Miss Small, who has been a sieter. at the Tauranga Hospital for some considerable time. Miss Small has resigned her position at the Tauranga Hospital to take up a'similar one at Samoa. The hostess, Mrs. C. Keene, received her guests in a frock of powder blue taffeta, and the guest of honour wore a smart frock of lace over red georgette. A competition was won by Miss Smedley.
