HIKERS' BALL.
Scots Hall was well filled with dancers last evening when a "Hikers'" dance was held. Red and golden streamers were twir.ed round the pillars, and profusely used from the ceiling, and the stage was arranged with greenery and camp fires. The guest of honour was Miss Esther James, who wore a gown of daffodil lace and black corsage. During the evening competitions were awarded. The committee responsible for the entertainment were:—Mrs. C. F. Bezar, Mrs. Z. Hurst, Messrs. E. Martin and H. Griffiths. Among those present were:— Mesdames Livingstone, Skinner, I. White, Martin, Corless, Fraser, B. Kennerley, Ticehurst, Misses D. Pearson, J. Horn, Lee, L.. Haton, M. Allen, G. Gilbert, Hosking, W. Fraser, S. Eadford, B. Williamson, Houston, P. Martin, C. Jones, L. Kadley, A. Cockran, O. Bowen, Lee-Archer, K. Stevenson, O'Hara, T. McCrywtal and E. Fraser.
