REQUIEM MASS.
CEREMONY AT PANMURE. Solemn Requiem for the dead bishope, priests, religious,,! and laity of the Roman Catholic diocese of Auckland was celebrated in the Panmure Church' and later in the cemetery this morning. The commemoration, which is •an annual one, was ; celebrated by.. Dean Brennan, with-Fatbjer Dunphy as-deacon and Father Hunt <ae eub-deacon. Dr. Buxton, administrator of St. Patrick's Cathedral, was master of ceremonies. The sermon-wae preached by Dean Edge and a choir of priests sang the Mass under the diroctiotn of - Father Terry. Bishop' Liston presided, and upwards of 40 priests attended. After Mass 'Bishop Lieton gave absolution in the churchyard.
