DEATH BY DROWNING.
INQUEST Olf REV. E. G. AUI.T. BODY CLOTHED IN BATHING SUIT. XBy Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, this day. An inquest was held this morning by Mr. A. F. Tunks, coroner, in connection with the death of the Rev. E. G. Ault, whose body was found yesterday afternoon oa a beach near Ranginui Point, Welcome Bay. Evidence of identification was given by F. Basham, of Ngatea. Constable A. Skinner, who organised the search and conveyed the body from the beach to the morgue at Tauranga Hospital, and Dr. J. B. MacDiarmid also gave evidence. The evidence snowed that when discovered the body was clothed in a batMng suit. The coroner returned a verdict that deceased met his death by drowning in Welcome Bay on or about October 29. The Hev. O. S. O. Gibson, on behalf of Archbishop Averill, thanked Constable iSkinner and the residents of .Welcome Bay for the efforts they- had inada in- the search.
