OPERA SUBSIDY TO STOP.
8.8.C. TO GIVE ASSISTANCE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 1. It was announced in the House of Commons that the Government had decided to suspend the opera subsidy for next year. The British Broadcasting Corporation has undertaken to give British opera all the assistance practicable.
