PRICES COLLAPSE.
ARGENTINE MEAT AND WHEAT. BUENOS AYRES, November 1. Wheat prices in Argentina liave reached the lowest level if or 70 years. The grain ia selling at 40 cents a busheL Other commoditieSj including beef, are greatly depressed. Young steers sold yesterday at 12 cents a lb—the lowest price in the history of the local packing industry. The prevailing uncertainty about the Ottawa agreements is as partially responsible for the declining prices.
