"THE BARRETTS OF WIMPOLE STREET."

"The Barretts of Wimpole Street," which, as most theatregoers know, ran simultaneously in London and New York for over two years, and which taxed the capacity of the largest theatres in Sydney and Melbourne for several months, is now repeating its success in New Zealand, and will be presented for the first time in Auckland at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday, November 12. Messrs. J. C. Williamson, Limited, under whose direction this delightful romance is being presented, have spared neither pains nor expense to give Dominion theatregoers a replica of the London production. A complete English company, headed by the famous English actress, Miss Margaret Rawlings, has been imported, together with the full setting and lighting effects, all under the supervision of the London producer, Mr. Gabriel Toyne. The company is at present playing in Christchurch, and a brief excerpt from one of the notices there states: " 'The Barretts of Wimpole Street," a masterpiece of (dramatic art, completely enraptured a et-Jtical audience. When the final curtain went down the crowded stalls, circle and gallery would not be satisfied, calling again for the players, whose superb work brought out every atom of value of the play." The box plans open at Lewis Eady, Limited, on Wednesday next.
