LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
MOUNT ALBERT CLUB. The annual ladles' evening and presentation of trophies of the Mount Albert Rugby League Football Club took place at the. bowling club's pavilion, where.there was a large attendance of members, gupporters and friends. Mr. T. Davis, secretary of the junior management committee, complimented the club on its success and presented trophies as follow:—Most improved player top team (second grade), D. Mattson ; best forward, F. List: 1 most improved player (third open trade), E3. Broadfoot; third intermediate, B. Cranch. A special tribute was paid to Mr. W. Clarke for his services as secretary of the dub. '
Mr. Eoy O. Courtney, of Chrlstchurch, donor, of >the inter-island silver football trophy" for "annual competition, arrived from Sydney yesterday and met the president of the New Zealand Council, Mr. Cyril Snedden, and members. He left for the South last evening.
