CAR BACK-FIRES.
LAD'S ARM BROKEN. As the result of a motor car backfiring, a lad, Charles Hendrey, aged 17, of 54, Clonbern Road, Remuera, who was cranking the engine, broke his right arm. He was taken to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and after treatment was able to go home.
