RELATIVE IN TEARS.

BOY SOPRANO BROADCASTS. LONDON, October 27. The singing of Edward Streeten, the boy soprano, broadcast from Sydney, was distinctly heard and enjoyed by his aunt, who was ill in bed at a Surrey hospital. The "Daily Mail" describes the scene at the hospital as one of the most dramatic in the history of broadcasting. A number of the boy's relatives had gathered at the hospital to listen in. They included his white-haired grandmother, who sat at her daughter's bedside. Neither has ever seen Edward Streeten. They listened enthralled, with tear-filled eyes, to a wonder voice coming from the other side of the world. The grandmother said: "It has been wonderful. Edward is going to be a great singer."
