HOLIDAY TICKETS.

TRANSPORT BOARD SCHEME. SIMILAR TO LAST SUMMER. OPERATION ALMOST IMMEDIATELY ~" Special tickets such as use during last summer will shortly again be introduced by the Auckland Transport Board. . The board discussed the matter this morning. Mr. W. H. Nagle asked whether such tickets could be used by the board again. Until the holiday season was actually in full swing he suggested that the tickets should be used on Saturdays and Sundays. If the board wished it, said the general manager, Mr. A. E. Ford, he had enough tickets left over from last year to reintroduce the scheme almost immediately. Mr. Nagle explained further that he meant such tickets as those which covered the trip to Milford, which took a person holding one right into the zoo, including admission charge, and those which operated on the Point Chevalier run. If there was no opposition from the board, added the chairman, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, he thought that the matter could bo put in hand right away. The general manager could issue instructions to that end and report .to the board at the next meeting.
