ATTACK ON "REDS"

ANTI-GOD CAMPAIGN.

Scathing Denunciation By Scottish R.C. Church.

"DRENCH WORLD IN BLOOD."

(United r.A.-Electrlc Telegraph-Copyright)

(Received 10.30 a.m.)

LONDON, October 31

A pastoral letter, written by the archbishops and bishops of the Roman Catholic Church of Scotland, was read in the Scottish Catholic churches on Sunday. It denounces the Communist campaign and its hatred of God and mankind. The pastoral says the power behind the persecution is no chance outbreak of fury against the Church, but the relentless working out of a system centred in Russia and aiming at a univereal anti-God campaign. "To accomplish this they will stop at no enormity. They will not shrink from drenching the world in blood or grinding the entire human race in appalling misery." The letter refers to the preternatural genius of the organisers of the campaign, which is inspiied by demons, and save that Moscow's most skilful agents have recently launched in Britain the same shocking uprising against religion and God, the effects of which are already apparent.
