Tolhurst at the annual meeting of the Auckland Girl Guides last evening, that Miss Mona Burgin, well-known in Guide circles in Auckland, and who is at present in England, had been awarded the red cord diploma, the highest award that a Gtiider could obtain. This diploma entitled rts owner to train Guide'rs. It was an exceedingly difficult examination and was the first time it had been won by a New Zealander.
