SIGNIFICANT VISIT.
FREEZING INDUSTRY HOLD-UP
DEPUTATION TO MINISTER. ALL COMPANIES REPRESENTED. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Significance attaches to a deputation representing 'the whole of the freezing companies of New Zealand which met the Hon. A. Hamilton, Minister of Labour, this morning. The proceedings were in camera. It is stated that the deputation was merely making a friendly call on tlie Minister, but in view of the disturbed state of the industry importance is attached to the visit in some quarters. UNIONISTS AT HOROTIU. GENERAL POSITION DISCUSSED POLICEMEN VISIT WORKS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Unionists on strike gathered near the Horotiu meat works this morning and discussed the general position regarding the freezing dispute. It was agreed to remain firm on the present policy. "It will be a fight to a finish," the union secretary remarked later to a reporter. Senior-Sergeant Sweeney and several Hamilton policemen visited the works during the morning. No disturbances occurred.
