Mr. W. P. Endean, M.P., goes to Wellington by this afternoon's express. Mr. W. G. Wolilmann, Commissioner of Police, returned to Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. J. B. Hutton, of Hataitai, Wellington, returned to New Zealand to-day after a visit to Scotland. The Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, will return to Wellington by this evening's Limited. Mr. W. Grounds, a member of the Dairy Control Board, left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Lieutenant S. H. Carlill has been appointed to H.M.s. Dunedin. He will also act as interpreter in German. Messrs. M. J. Savage, J. A. Lee, P. W. Schramm, and W. J. Jordan, Members of Parliament, leave for Wellington by the Limited this evening. Mr. F. W. Furkert, engineer-in-chief of the Public Works Department, who had been visiting Arapuni, left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, who has been visiting Auckland during the week-end, leaves for Wellington by the Limited this evening. The Rev. Solomon Ivatz, Jewish Rabbi in Wellington, has been ordei'ed by his medical adviser to visit Rotorua for rest and treatment. He leaves Wellington to-day. Mr. J. F. Montague, of Auckland, has been appointed adjudicator in elocution at the next Napier competitions, and Mr. Temple White, of Wellington, judge in the musical sections. Mr. H. E. Hart, Administrator of Western Samoa, leaves Auckland by the Monterey to-morrow for Pago Pago, on his return to Apia. He has been visiting Wellington and the Wairarapa. Dr. Whyte, of Hastings, accompanied by Mrs. Whyte and their son, returned to New Zealand to-day by the motor ship Port Dunedin. Dr. Whyte and Mrs. Whyte had been on a holiday in England and the Continent. Archbishop Redwood, head of the Roman Catholic Hierarchy in the Dominion, celebrated the ninetieth year of his arrival in New Zealand on Saturday. He arrived with his parents in 1842 by the ship George Fife. The archbishop was born in Staffordshire, and became a bishop more than 58 years ago.
