MISSION VESSEL
SOUTHERN CROSS TO SAIL.
Bound for the Solomon Islands, where she is to have her headquarters, the Melanesian Mission's new motor vessel Southern Cross is to leave Auckland at mid-dav to-morrow. She will sail from the King's wharf. The time of the farewell service to .be held on the wharf has been altered from noon to 11.30 a.m. The vessel has been in port for two weeks. During that time she has been overhauled and loaded with stores and cargo for the Islands. She made a satisfactory trial trip on Friday and adjusted her com passes on Saturday.
