PONSONBY CLUB.
The fortieth annual opening of the Ponsonhy Bowling Club took place, when the president, Mr. J. D. Webster, extended a hearty welcome to a large number of members, bowlers and their lady friends. He alluded to the splendid condition of the greens, and on this account highly commended' the work of the ground superintendent. Mr. J. Kolfe. The Auckland Centre was represented by a past president, Mr. S. Coldieutt, who also took opportunity to congratulate the club on the good conditions with which the club was favoured in greens and environment.
