farm to be leased. SALARY INCREASE GRANTED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, Sunday. At the monthly meeting of the Kaipara Hospital Board Sir. W. Montgomery presided, in the absence, through illness, of the chairman,- Mr. C. Walden. The plans for the proposed ante-natal clinic, to be erected adjoining the maternity annexe at Te Kopuru, were approved by the Health Department. Tenders arc to be called. The Health Department notified the board of the increase of £25 in the annual grant to the St. John Ambulance Corps ( £125 instead of £100) as from April 1 last. Following the consideration in committee of the report of the farm.committee the board adopted a resolution by which farming operations should cease as at March 31 next. Tenders are to be invited for the lease of the property. An application for an increase in salary from the joint managers of the old men's home, Mr. and Mrs. S. Ledger, was referred to the March meeting. On the motion of Mr. W. N. Skelton, Paparoa, the board resolved unanimously to increase the salary of Sister Cox, in charge at the Otamatea Hospital, Paparoa. Mr. Skelton spoke of the splendid work being done by Sister Cox, and said the increase , was thoroughly deserved. Mr. W. Collins, Maungaturoto, endorsed this view. The board decided to alter Sister Cox's official designation to that of matron.
