EMPIRE RECOGNITION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, October 23. Sir Henry Chilton, British Ambassador at Santiago, has handed a Note to the Chilian Foreign Minister, stating that the Governments cf Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada will be happy to enter upon official relations with the Chilian Government as at present constituted. A similar Note was also presented by the.United States. The present Chilian Government came into power on September 15 when Senor Davila was replaced.
