HAWKE'S BAY SHEARERS.
DEMAND FOR 1931 KATES OF PAY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. A meeting representative of all the shearers in Hawke's Bay unanimously decided: "That in view of the fact that wool values are rising and on account of the greatly .improved outlook for primary produce, we pledge ourselves to stand Arm for the 1931 rates of pay: Shearers, 21/ per 100; pressers, £2 15/ per week; shed hands, £2 10/; cooks, 12 men or under, £3 5/j assistant cooks, £2 10/."
