CUSTOMS TARIFF.

CONFERENCE PROPOSED. TO FACILITATE REVISION. .MOVE BY IMPORTERS. A conference to discuss the tariff question was suggested by the Chairman of the Wellington Importers'. Association, Mr. Edwin Salmond, at a- meeting of the council on Friday. Mr. Salmond drew attention , to the controversy which was occurring in rs gard to the proposed revision of ,wCustoms tariff.
